Background Information
The word “Doula” comes from the ancient Greek word meaning caregiver or a woman who serves. A trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a mother before, during, and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.

In-Office Consultation: 350 AED
• Getting to know the doula
• Pregnancy and birth expectation chat
• Consent letter from OBGYN submitted by the client

Postnatal Doula Session (2hrs) : 600 AED
• Assistance with cord cleaning
• Assisting mom with breastfeeding, baby’s bath, and bedtime massage
• Swaddling techniques
• Provide care for either the newborn or older siblings.

Birth Package: 3,200 AED

Inclusions:

Prenatal Sessions
• One complimentary in-office consultation
• 2 prenatal sessions (2hrs each) at home session 1
• Pregnancy and birth history of client
• Birth education and Plan
• Recommendations on reading resources

Session 2
• Preparation for the postpartum period (mom)
• Help with preparation of the hospital bag
• Demonstration of positions during labor and birth
• Cord care information
• Prenatal visit with OB/Midwife (optional)

During labor
• 24/7 on-call service (2 weeks prior to the due date and until the baby is born)
• Attendance at the client’s labor for the entire duration with NO additional fees or time restrictions
• Ensure labor progression according to the birth plan
• Counter pressure and comforting touch(optional)
• Encouragement during labor
• Doula will be a mediator between the staff and the client

Postnatal Sessions
One postpartum visit (2hrs) to ease the transition into parenthood which will include:
• Assistance with the first latch
• Immediate postpartum support to help the family settle
• Assistance with a birth debriefing
• Six weeks of postpartum phone and email support
