Background Information
Dr. Matthias Roux is a highly regarded and experienced German board-certified dermatologist, practicing Dermatology for more than 20 years. He studied medicine at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz where he gained his MD with great honors (magna cum laude). After this, he joined the tumor center of the University of Heidelberg and worked several years at the German Cancer Research Center (headed by Nobel Prize winner Harald Zur Hausen) in the institute of applied immunology. He pursued his dermatological education at the University of Cologne where he is also board-certified in Dermatology and Venerology.
Dr. Roux has been involved in the development of multiple new laser systems and therapeutic techniques, which are now commonly used throughout the world. He was a co-founder and board member of the well known and international well-reputed “Gesundheitszentrum am Potsdamer Platz GmbH” in Berlin, where he headed the department for dermatology for the last 13 years.
He developed his line of skincare products utilizing only the finest ingredients based on his cosmetic and pharmacological knowledge. Within this range, he also created specified skincare products for the very sensitive skin of newborns and children. Dr. Roux speaks English and German.
