After you book, the company will call you to schedule the initial assessment session based on your availability. Initial Assessment / Consultation fee will be waived when a session or package is purchased.

Background Information
Melanie was born and raised in the Philippines. She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor in Secondary Education. She is a professional teacher and passed her licensure exam. She is also a Registered Behavior Technician here in the UAE.

In 2011, she decided to move to the UAE and started her career as a student tutor. She became a part of Child Center UAE, year 2016 and became the Head of the Learning Support and K-12 Supervisor.

Melanie loves to reach out to the families of the kids with different abilities. She always makes sure that she gives her 100% in supporting them.

Melanie provides one-to-one, home based ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) and VBT (Verbal Behavior Therapy) services under the supervision of Case Manager/Supervisor (1-2 visits per month). She provides regular progress reports for school activities and goals.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) have been proven in many studies as the leading proven treatment and method of choice on treating individuals with autism spectrum disorder at any level. It is a methodology that incorporates basic behavioral principles such as positive reinforcement, prompting, shaping and generalization that directly impacts the child's development of language, socialization and reduction of maladaptive behaviors. ABA method is used to support persons with autism and similar disorders in at least six ways:
To increase desired/appropriate behaviors: Reinforcing procedures increase on task behavior or social interactions.
To teach new skills: Systematic instruction and reinforcement procedures teach functional life skills, communication skills or social skills.
To maintain behaviors: Teaching self-control and self-monitoring procedures to maintain and generalize job-related social skills.
To generalize or to transfer behaviors from one situation or response to another: Completes assignment in a specialized school to performing as well in a mainstream school setting.
To restrict or narrow conditions under which interfering behaviours occur: Modifying the learning environment
To reduce interfering behaviours: Preventing self injury or sterotype
