Background Information
Lizmari is not your average teacher from across the road!

In addition to her background as a classroom teacher, she has a wide variety of skills, sufficient background knowledge and experience to work with the kids in many areas of particular interest, from drama & sensory play to critical thinking and tutoring. She has a Masters degree in Family and Consumer Sciences where she explored the topic of motivation within people. She started teaching Life Skills as an additional subject/programme to high school students: a programme designed to stimulate their critical thinking and encourage them to consider their future as well as how their choices of today could impact all their tomorrows. She taught social studies to Grade 4 learners as well as KG 1 and 2 in Qatar before moving to Dubai where she was part of team Oli Oli. As Covid restrictions eased, she has been pursuing her other areas of passion: drama coaching, teaching drama at the Courtyard Playhouse. This also enables her to explore the impact drama has on the development of social skills amongst students and how it improves their self-confidence. Overall, is very well equipped to work on sensory play, drama coaching, life skills coaching, homework and tutoring across all subjects to students ranging from KG up to Grade 8 - in a fun edutainment way considering her diverse skillset & experience.
