BEGINNER - Level 1
Program Description
Code and design your own stories and animations on the platform Scratch Junior. Scratch Junior is a pre-reader-friendly coding platform designed and maintained by MIT Media Lab. It is specifically designed for kids who want to start creating their own projects using code. In the first course of this track, you will learn about and use different programming elements like motion blocks, event triggers, and loops. You will then combine these elements to code complete computer programs. These programs will be interactive stories, playful animations, and story-based games that you can share with your friends and family. By the end of the course, you will be ready for all sorts of new coding adventures!
Learning Outcomes
Use basic coding blocks in creative ways to create complex animations
Understand and use basic coding concepts such as event triggers, parallelism, and message broadcasts
Add and edit the main design elements of a Scratch Junior program such as sprites, backdrops, and sound effects
Build cohesive programming projects from beginning to end
INTERMEDIATE - Level 2
Program Description
Tynker is an award-winning interactive coding platform that is used by almost 60 million kids worldwide. This platform is used by one in three K-8 schools in the U.S. Also, Tynker received the Parents’ Choice Gold Award and the Children’s Technology Review Editor’s Choice Award in 2020. In the second course of this track, students will learn fundamental programming concepts like sequencing, conditional logic and debugging in a fun and imaginative way. They will solve puzzles and complete creative projects using block-based coding. At the end, they will be able to design their own projects from beginning to end and share them with their friends and family as well as the Tynker community!

ADVANCED - Level 3
Program Description
In the final course of this track you will apply fundamental programming concepts you have been learning to create fun and interactive artworks on Kano World. Kano World is an interactive platform where users can get creative and improve their coding skills. You will be able to create art, make music, and share and collaborate with others on Kano World. You will use block-based coding to complete creative projects from beginning to end like designing your own emoji, creating your own galaxy, developing a music sound board and more. At the end, you will be able to design your own projects and share them with your friends and family as well as the Kano community!
