Background Information
Having graduated from Koc High School, Dr. Feyza Bayraktar, PhD. (Clinical Psychologist)
completed her undergraduate studies at Boğazici University, Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling. Having done her master’s degree at New York University,
Department of Applied Psychology. Bayraktar also worked as a research fellow in the field of Women’s Mental Health and Eating Disorders at NYU. She worked as a psychotherapist at many mental health clinics in the US. She also worked as a clinical intern at Princeton University Health Center before she started the doctoral program in clinical psychology. Then she completed her doctoral degree in clinical psychology.
Feyza Bayraktar attended many training programs in cognitive behavior therapy, emotion regulation skills as well as eating disorders. She has been invited as a lecturer to the national and international conferences. Additionally, she has been invited as a guest to many TV shows as an expert in the field of clinical psychology.
Having met the certification criteria for the specialization in eating disorders as determined by the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Foundation and earned the title of Certified Eating Disorders Specialist –CEDS, Bayraktar also works as a part-time favulty at Bogazici University. She provides individual psychotherapy to the adolescents and the adults in many different psychological problems, particularly in eating disorders, obesity psychology, stress management skills, women’s mental health and multicultural counseling. Also, within the professional boundaries, she gives counseling and seminars to institutions and organizations in many different subjects, primarily in stress management and psychological resilience. She has two books published in Turkish.
