Background Information
Let us take your child on a magical journey where they will creatively explore the wonderful and imaginative world of picture books by their favourite authors in our beautiful theatre!
Our unique Summer Camp will nurture and stimulate your child’s passion for storytelling, develop literacy skills and build confidence through drama games and movement.
Each week has a brand new theme based on a moral found in the storybooks and each day throughout the three weeks we will explore a new book forming the inspiration for theatre games, mime, role-play, as well as arts and crafts. Your child will develop their communication skills, learn to work as part of a team and think creatively, all whilst having fun under the guidance of instructors with a wealth of experience teaching children of all ages. Each week will end with a showcase in our theatre for friends and family to enjoy.

Sign your child up for our Mid-Term Camp and let them explore the world of Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas through theatre! It will be a fun week filled with self-expression and spontaneity, where young performers develop valuable life skills that help build confidence and overcome anxieties.
Performing on stage can be one of the most exhilarating experiences of a child’s life. It’s not just about pretending to be someone else – it’s also about learning to be comfortable with who you are. The Courtyard Playhouse is a safe space where preteens meet likeminded individuals, feel accepted and free to be themselves.
Our Camp caters for all levels and your child will be guided by talented instructors with a wealth of experience teaching children of all ages. Each week will see the participants developing their storytelling, stage presence, characterisation and teamwork skills and will conclude with a showcase for friends and family.
